my TWO CENTS

Curious, tenacious, compassionate, thoughtful…I am a bona fide believer in trying to see the glass half-full. Despite the gnarly twists & turns of life, I want to find the silver lining in it all and doing it full force.

Skip ahead a few decades…I became fascinated with printmaking & type, paid a lot of moola for a design degree, did the whole ‘quit your corporate gig for the devil’ thing to start my little dreamboat of a business and empty my head of all these wild ideas...with a doozy of life experiences and a hell of a lot of art making, reading, & exploration in-between.

So Uela Lane Designs officially came to fruition in hopes of living the life I love, giving it my all, and inspiring people to send a note any ol’ regular day of the week and help others feel seen, whether they’re going through a rough patch or it’s a phenomenal day. Mostly, I don’t want anyone to wait for a proclaimed day on the calendar and lose a chance to tell someone we care. My words & work are not for everyone but are definitely for some people.

Why not instill more gratitude, laughs, and vulnerability in all of our days and be as authentic as possible about it? I’m trying to every day (almost, at least!). If we’re too comfortable, we aren’t really growing, right?
